Ingredients

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, and vanilla extract. Make sure the apple slices are evenly coated.
- Transfer the apple mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it out in an even layer.
- In another bowl, combine the oats, flour, cold butter cubes, and a pinch of salt. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until the mixture is crumbly and the butter is pea-sized.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the top of the apples.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Let the spiced apple crisp cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
